Fishing is one of the most attractive activities that you can practise in Piloña. Its main rivers and streams have a great amount of trouts and eels, as well as salmon, rainbow trout, and many other species.
      There are three fishing reserves since 1970: "Infiesto-Espinaredo", "Villamayor", and "Soto de Dueñas".
      Hunting is also a wide spread activity in the municipality. There are a lot of commom species, although no indigenous, they can be just found in a few mountains all over Spain. Piloña has got four hunting areas:
a) Sueve reserve;
b) Tebrandi reserve;
c) Piloña Protected hunting area; and
d) Piloña-Nava reserve.

RECREATIONAL AREAS

      There are two recreational areas which are well-known due to their l full of very old trees and ever green fields landscapes. One of them is called "La Pesanca", located in the middle of a very deep forest with a great amount of chestnuts and oaks. The other one is very close to a small village called Pintueles.
